Nasty Gal Dress, Vintage Jill Stuart fringe bag, LA Fashion District shoes

This lace up dress gives me vibes of 70s rock, Woodstock and desert gypsies which is everything I want in a dress, partially because it gives me serious wanderlust. Who says fringes should only be for festival season? But then again, I would be okay with dressing like this year round.

Being petite means an everlasting battle with awkward lengths so I usually opt for the shorter. During my trip to New York, I found a midi skirt at Beacon's Closet that was, dare I say the perfect length for a midi. I always make a mental note to stop by the vintage mecca when I'm in New York and I feel like it is better curated in their vintage selection than most stores I've been to.

The November weather in Los Angeles doesn't need any more explanation than wearing a slouchy muscle tee with a thick wool skirt but I'm not complaining.

Off to the Races

Andrew Bird - Three White Horses

( Vintage Equestrian Blouse, Oxblood H&M Sweater, Vintage Ankle Boots )
Apologies for the posting hiatus! I've been making major adjustments as well as going through personal life changes.
Carrying on with life as well as with regular posting schedules. The rare times I find perks in being petite is the ease discovering oversized anythings. As temperatures are finally dropping to what seems winter worthy, I layered a vintage blouse beneath an oversized grandpa sweater. This equestrian print blouse is probably one of the coolest ones I own and I was lucky to discover it on my trip to Haight-Ashbury, which is why I made sure it deemed its presence noteworthy by having it peek out of the sweater.

Again SS13

(Vintage Sequined Jacket, Vintage Secretary Bow Blouse, Urban Outfitters Dip Dye Shorts, Vintage Coach Satchel)

I was running late so I grabbed the most eye popping pieces from my closet pile of clothes which turned out to be the fish scale sequined jacket that can almost serve as a prismic disco ball and the rainbow sorbet dip dye shorts.
I'm settling back down in LA and still in somewhat of a post New York mode, but nonetheless, Los Angeles Fashion Week has begun and I started off my first few shows with the Los Angeles Fashion Council.
Jen Awad went retro and incorporated bits of the 60s into her collection which I love since it's one of my favorite eras. How adorable are the cateye sunglasses? I actually met Jen, who is a total sweetheart during New York Fashion Week and found out she was showing for LAFW.
Bohemian Society's show was definitely NSFW and the destruction is creation theme consisted of a lot of ombre, killer shoes, and quirky accessories. The finale pieces were gorgeous and the models channeled fireflies walking down the runway. I also can't believe I did this but I forgot my memory card for Kittinhawk's show but if you want to catch a glimpse taken with my not so great phone, check out my Instagram!

New York Fashion Week continued - Nicole Miller

Chloe Norgaard

Probably being one of my favorite shows this week, Nicole Miller's collection was nothing short of an eyegasm. It was an explosion of surrealism, girly and tribal gone edgy down the runway, almost like seeing abstract art on fabric. I may be being biased since I'm such a sucker for flowy fabric but the prints aside, the material was just as beautiful.
Mostly, I couldn't get over how amazing Chloe Norgaard's rainbow hair was (third photo). Can the hairstylist who did this please turn my hair into My Little Pony tips?

Everlane

This past weekend I was invited to a special event hosted by the wonderful team of Everlane. Minimalist fans will love Everlane's products that are not only high in quality but stylish and versatile enough to wear anywhere. I got a chance to see their upcoming products and check out the photoshoot. We were also spoiled with goodie bags (photo below).
What I especially love about these events is getting to meet other fellow bloggers and bonding over stories about life as a blogger. I was fortunate enough to meet super awesome bloggers Joannie, Melanie, Hallie of Hallie Daily, Zoe, and Jazzi McG
I had an incredibly great time and the Everlane team was the nicest group of people. Thank you so much Everlane!

Camouflaged in Sunshine

Hello! It's been a while.
I picked up this beautiful Kimono jacket at a random boutique in SF over the summer although recently, I saw them at Urban Outfitters under a different label.
The soft chiffon material makes it perfect to throw on when it's a sunny day and the flowiness creates a beautiful silhouette.

Here's some old pictures I never got around to posting.

Adorable heart wall

Saw a vendor selling these. Not sure if it was a belt or a headband!

Finished the day at Wurstkuche, my favorite German hot dog place in Downtown LA!
