Hanni El Khatib - Come Alive
Hello amazing readers! I have made the transition from the beloved Blogger to Wordpress which = no more access to Google Friend Connect = majority of my followers. Please follow me via Bloglovin instead to stay updated and I will now check back regularly on Bloglovin as well. Thanks always, for the support xx
Truly Madly Deeply Mesh Dia de Los Muertos Tee, American Apparel dress, Vintage backpack (ebay)
This past weekend, I got a chance to see Hanni El Khatib perform in Pasadena.
Levitt Pavillion offers free outdoor concerts every summer and being able to see Hanni El Khatib while having a picnic on the grass made up for not being able to go to Outside Lands this year.
As the scorching LA heat wave is making it almost impossible to leave the house, I opted for a breathable, mesh back top. I normally don't like wearing heels on grass but one of the biggest disadvantages of being petite is staring at someone's back during concerts. Plus, the chunky heels were surprisingly comfortable and sturdy!
Hanni El Khatib's folksy, garage rock beats were refreshing to hear and only added to the longing for everlasting summer road trips.
I know what you mean about heels - damn you tall people at concerts! I suppose the good thing about being petite is that we are infinitely easier to pick up to sit on shoulders but I have a fear of small heights (totally fine on skyscrapers) so that's kind of a loss for me too. XD That day-of-dead inspired tee is freaking awesome btw.
